On March 7, 2026, from 10am–4pm ET, Realize will host their 2026 National Youth Summit on Episodic Disability and Employment at the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto, ON, and online via Zoom.
Realize is the leading national, non-profit organization in Canada. They promote education, integrated research, and cross-sector partnerships to work towards better health and well-being for people living with episodic disabilities. Their focus is rehabilitation, community, and increased awareness for HIV and other chronic and potentially episodic conditions.
This year’s Summit is the second time Realize will host this type of transformative gathering. It is designed to amplify the voices of young people with disabilities, alongside advocates, professionals, and allies. This year’s Summit—called The Future of Work—will address topics such as the impact of ‘return to office’ mandates for young people living with episodic disabilities, the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on work and disability accommodations, and perspectives from young people living with episodic disabilities.
Realize specifically designed this event to appeal to younger people who are new to the workforce and are still learning to navigate working with an episodic disability. They aim for this Summit to inspire action, foster community, and address systemic barriers in employment, health, and education.
