DAWN Canada Releases Reimagining Disabled Futures Podcast

The DisAbled Women’s Network of Canada (DAWN Canada) has been a long-time partner of the Live Work Well Research Centre. Their intersectional feminist human rights organization strives to end the poverty, discrimination, isolation, and violence that women and gender-diverse people with disabilities face across Canada.

As part of DAWN’s 10-year vision for change—Root Resilience, Root Change, and Root Justice—they launched a Reimagining Disabled Futures podcast on October 1, 2025. We’re proud to promote this podcast which will explore how gender, disability, and inequality shape our lives and how communities are leading change.

Through lived experiences and community voices, the series will highlight strengths-based approaches to justice inclusion and systemic change. Each new episode will bring together activists, researchers, and community leaders to discuss and explore how our societal systems and structures affect marginalized communities, and what additional supports are necessary.
