We announced the publication of our first composite story, Lily, with a news post on July 29.
Evelyn’s story is the third composite story to be published; it is a story about the perseverance of Evelyn, a new immigrant from Vietnam and mother of a 10-year-old boy, after she faces the loss of her husband, Adam. Evelyn’s story highlights her struggles as a person with ADHD and Autism and how that impacts her life at work and home, especially with gaining permanent residency in Canada. The story narrates the challenges and successes she has had in reaching her goals, one of which is to have a passionate career in the arts. The story follows the path of accessibility accommodations, cultural barriers, friendship, community, and family. In which Evelyn must follow to achieve the best livelihood she can, after the loss of her husband.
Evelyn’s story is one of three in the series. Our first was Lily’s Story, and our second was Wren and Cyrus’s; both can be viewed on our website.
